TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Thank you for enquiring to book Nyammings Catering Ltd
To avoid any disappointment please book as far in advance as possible. We are not able to guarantee availability where short notice is included.
Please read our terms and conditions below as this is your agreement to a binding contract for our catering services. All requests will be subject to availability which will be confirmed prior to quotation.
1.) General Terms
1.1) We take into consideration not all bookings allow for a long notice period however our preferable minimum notice period is 2 weeks.
1.2) To secure your event or function full payment or a non-refundable 50% deposit is required.
1.3) The main booking contact will receive an email with invoice inclusive of payment options.
1.4) Payments are due within 48 hours of your booking invoice or payment link being sent with the due date stated. It is only when this initial payment is received that we book your event into in our diary. We are unable to hold dates.
1.5) Non-payment of the booking costs within 48 hours as stated on your invoice due date will be deemed as you no longer require our services as Nyammings reserves the right to cancel the event and retain any deposit monies paid.
1.6) If any future payments are late or overdue this will incur an additional 5% fee, per day until balance is paid in full.
1.7) Any changes to the initial menu choice after booking may incur additional charges. Changes will be at our discretion and these charges updated accordingly.
1.8) Event timing and food service – You should adhere to the agreed time of service for your event. Any delays over 30 minutes will incur additional charges which will be generated via invoice.
1.9) Taster requests are subject to availability and chargeable, delivered takeaway style for up to 2 people. If you book, this charge will be deducted from your balance.
1.10) Any cancellations/ postponements pertaining to your booking must be communicated to us immediately. If you wish to postpone you have a 6-month period to rebook with us. If this period is missed or if you cancel, we reserve the right to retain monies paid up to 50% deposit.
1.11) A visit to your venue or premises prior to the event is our usual process to carry out a health and safety risk assessment to ensure we can carry out our catering duties
safely. On some occasions where this may not be possible photo or video footage plus conversations with management will be adhered to.
2.) Equipment Hire
2.1) Equipment and utensil use - Self serve buffets: A waiver form with an itemised checklist will be provided to you to sign to ensure all items are returned in the original condition received.
2.2) For any hired crockery or equipment, you agree with our (Nyammings Catering Ltd) policies and take responsibility and agree to pay and cover the cost of for any
missing, broken, or damaged items that may occur during your event.
3.) Cook ‘n’ Drop Delivery & Food Safety
3.1) All food is freshly prepared and delivered in food safe trays, labelled with an allergen notice. The food upon delivery maybe at room temperature or warm but not HOT. Therefore, you will need adequate heating facilities to keep your food warm unless you have booked a set-up catering whereby our equipment will assist to maintain warmth to your dishes.
3.2) Once the food has been safely delivered, it is now your responsibility regarding handling and care. Our Carib Canapés can be eaten at room temperature however if you desire to warm them up it’s always a personal preference.
3.3) If following an event any food is left over, we will box this up in takeaway food tubs.
3.4) All allergen information pertaining your menu will be displayed at the catering area for your event and in some cases also provided prior to the event, so guests are aware when selecting a menu choice (Such as family sharing or plated meals).
4.) Additional Terms
Corporate
4.1) The correct name, organisation and billing address must be provided upon agreeing to book our services.
4.2) (If applicable) Your Purchase Order must be raised within 48 hours of our invoice been sent for the payment to be paid on time and refrain from and additional charges being applied.
4.3) You must state your payment timeframe to us prior to your invoice being generated otherwise you will be subject to the general 48-hour payment terms which could lead to cancellation if not adhered to.
Weddings:
4.4) Final numbers must be confirmed no later than 8 weeks of your event date.
4.5) Final payments must be finalised 1 month before your event; the final due date will be confirmed.
4.6) Any changes requested after 8 weeks may be considered and subject to availability. This may also incur additional charges.
4.7) Order of the day/service time must be agreed too. We reserve the right to invoice you for any additional hours not stipulated in our email communications or by invoice as part of your binding contract.
5.) Cancellations
5.1) If you decide to cancel our service, we will retain the non-refundable 50% deposit or 50% of full payment. This is due to the fact our time and resources would have been invested to prepare for your event or function. We may have discretion for any cancellations deemed unforeseen or extenuating circumstances and there may be options depending on availability to transfer to an alternative date/time; however, this will be discussed. Again, we are not bound to this, and any decisions made will be communicated via email.
5.2) We also reserve the right to cancel a booking and retain the 50% non-refundable deposit if deemed fit as per our business guidelines. We will give you an opportunity to resolve anything prior to us taking this step if within our set timeframe.
5.3) If we (Nyammings) cancel due to our circumstances and there can be no resolution we will issue a full refund 36 hours following refund payment information being received.
6.) We record and take photographs of our events for promotional and marketing purposes. If you wish for this not to take place during your event this must be stipulated at time of booking.
7. Additional charges - The rate applied is 5% per day in relation to late/overdue payments. Charges applied due to changes to your booking if agreed too will be set accordingly and we will update you of the additional amount due.
8. If the unforeseen occurs where neither party has any control – such as natural disasters and this impacts your event and our service you may choose to rebook within 6 months subject to availability, however the 50% deposit will be retained due to our planning, sourcing, prepping already taken place.
If you disagree with our terms and policies, please refrain from making any payment as this will not be refunded to you once received and your booking is confirmed in our diary.
Our service to you is paramount. We strive for nothing but the best and to deliver a great and tasty experience for your event. Customer satisfaction is our highest priority. If you are not satisfied with our service, we will try to resolve any matter and discuss any issues with you once raised to us within the first 48 hours following the event.
We will not accept any form of abuse or unacceptable behaviour toward our staff whilst we are carrying out or service for you. If this Is not controlled or stopped by you – person who booked the event we retain all rights to stop our services immediately and pack down. No monies paid will be retuned too you.
